“I feel like I have lost my sense of purpose”
“In such a big city, I sometimes feel alone”
“Do I want to become a parent?”
“I’m thinking about quitting my job”
“Everything seems to be changing, and I feel lost”
“I don’t know how to communicate with my partner anymore”
These are just some of the thoughts and questions that might bring someone to start therapy. Whether you are navigating significant changes, facing challenges, or simply feeling stuck, therapy can be a space to explore your needs and understand how to meet them. This is a place where you can discuss any topic and ask yourself the questions that matter to you.
I am Alessandra, a Counselling Psychologist providing both online and in-person therapy sessions. I offer sessions in Italian and English, creating a space to listen to your story.
I have experience helping people navigate a wide range of challenges, including relationship and family struggles, anxiety and mood difficulties, grief and loss, trauma and gender-based violence, alcohol use, parenting, life transitions, the experience of living abroad, work-related stress and burnout, and other wellbeing challenges.
Very often, we seek therapy when we find ourselves facing only one path, one we no longer want to take, or when we stand at a crossroads where both directions seem to lead to unpleasant consequences. Therapy can help us understand which path to choose, discover new ones, or even find our own way through the fields.
In my work, I focus on each person’s uniqueness. I believe that everyone constructs their own understanding of the world through their experiences and relationships. There isn’t one single truth, but many ways of interpreting what happens to us. Through our conversations, we can explore different perspectives on your experiences and, if you feel trapped in patterns that no longer serve you, we can work together to re-author your story and open new possibilities for your future.
If parts of these experiences resonate with you, I would be glad to meet you where you are and explore alternative ways forward together.
Training, Education, and Experience
I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Padua and a Bachelor's degree in Psychological Sciences and Techniques from the University of Bergamo. I am currently pursuing further training in Constructivist-Narrative Psychotherapy. I am a registered Counselling Psychologist with the HCPC in the UK and a registered psychologist in Italy (Albo degli psicologi della Lombardia).
My professional experience includes providing counselling sessions in public, private and community settings; I have been working at a therapy centre in Hackney and at a charity supporting women affected by domestic violence in London. I have also been involved in social and community projects, working at a domestic violence centre in Italy. Alongside my clinical work, I have conducted research and training on health choices, wellbeing, relationships, and cultural adaptation at the University of Padua, where I also served as a teaching assistant and tutor for the specialisation programme in Personal Construct Psychology and Counselling.
