About therapy
Understanding how therapy works and what to expect from your sessions.
Therapy offers a confidential, non-judgemental space to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences. You might come to therapy to address a specific issue, work through a difficult time in your life, or simply to better understand yourself and how you relate to others.

Whatever brings you to therapy, your therapist will support you in making sense of your situation and finding new ways forward.

Therapy is for anyone. You don’t need to be in crisis or have a diagnosis to benefit. Some people come to therapy because they feel stuck or overwhelmed, others want to make sense of the past or improve their relationships. Whatever your reason, you’re welcome here.
What happens in a session?
Your first session is an opportunity to meet your therapist, ask questions and discuss what has brought you to therapy. Together you can decide whether you’d like to continue working together.

Sessions are usually held weekly and last for 50 minutes. Relationship counselling sessions may be longer. Therapy can be short-term or long-term, depending on your goals.

Low-cost therapy sessions
We believe therapy should be accessible to everyone.
Our low-cost therapy service is available for people who are not in a financial position to access long-term psychotherapy at a standard fee. This service is delivered by trainee therapists in the final stages of their training, who are closely supervised by qualified and experienced psychotherapists.

Sessions are held in person in our centre in Shoreditch. Our therapy model involves weekly sessions with the same therapist for one year (renewable if needed). We encourage you to make use of the full year as this longer-term approach will allow to deeply explore the roots of your difficulties. However, it is possible to end therapy earlier; we suggest you discuss this with your therapist.

What to expect:
-
Weekly in person sessions
-
£40 per session
-
A consistent therapeutic relationship with the same therapist
-
A space to explore personal challenges, relationships, or for self-development

This service is for people aged 18 and over. You don’t need a diagnosis or referral — just a willingness to explore what’s going on for you.
