Emotional difficulties do not always have a clear cause or explanation. You may find yourself feeling low or overwhelmed, experiencing issues in relationships, or noticing patterns that seem to repeat themselves, without fully understanding why. Therapy offers a space to think together about these experiences and what may lie beneath them.
About me
I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist trained at the Tavistock & Portman. I have worked within NHS settings and have experience working with people with a wide range of emotional challenges and life experiences.
I am a registered member of the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) and the Tavistock Society of Psychotherapists (TSP).
I offer therapy in both English and Greek.
How I work
Psychodynamic psychotherapy offers a space to think about emotional difficulties in depth and to explore how experiences, feelings and patterns, including unconscious patterns, may shape our lives in the present.
Our earlier experiences and relationships can continue to influence how we relate to ourselves and others, sometimes in ways that can feel difficult to understand or change. Therapy can help us recognise these patterns, think about where they may come from, and begin to work through them.
In psychodynamic therapy, you are invited to bring whatever comes to mind, or whatever feels important to you, and together we can begin to make sense of your thoughts, feelings, and experiences as they emerge.
The therapeutic relationship is also an important part of the work, through which relational patterns can be explored and understood.
I aim to offer a thoughtful and containing environment where painful feelings or experiences can be explored at your own pace.
