If you're finding yourself lost in the same patterns - in relationships, in how you feel about yourself, in a sense of not quite belonging or not feeling fully known - therapy can be a way of understanding what may be occurring beneath the surface. Much of what shapes us begins early. The relationships and environments we grew up in leave traces that can continue to influence how we move through life and relate to ourselves and others. This often happens in ways we don't immediately recognise.
Therapy with me offers a space to gain a deeper understanding of yourself and your experiences. As understanding develops, greater self-compassion, a stronger sense of agency and new ways of relating can become possible.
About me
I am a psychotherapist with experience across community mental health and addiction recovery settings. Prior to this, I spent over 10 years working in pharmacy and healthcare, a background that continues to inform my understanding of people, relationships, loss and life's challenges.
I have a particular interest in questions of identity, belonging and what it means to feel truly known. This includes working with people whose early experiences left them feeling unseen, misunderstood or disconnected from parts of themselves, as well as those navigating cultural displacement and its impact on their sense of self and self-esteem.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
My approach
As an integrative psychotherapist, I draw from psychodynamic, person-centred and cognitive behavioural modalities, tailoring my approach to each individual. Central to how I work is the relationship between us. Feeling safe and genuinely understood is often what allows the deeper work to take place. We'll work collaboratively at a pace that feels manageable, making room for experiences that may previously have been difficult to understand, express or share. This process can open the way to meaningful change.
