I offer a warm and open space where you can talk about anything that’s on your mind.
You may come to therapy navigating a crisis, have a sense that something needs to change, or be seeking personal development. Whatever brings you here, I provide a calm and supportive setting where together we can explore your experiences at your own pace.
Therapy gives us the opportunity to explore and grow. As we come to understand ourselves more fully, we can transform our relationships with ourselves and others, expanding our sense of choice and authenticity in how we live.
At the core of how I work is a deep respect for clients and for the therapeutic process itself. I know from my own experience how vulnerable the therapy process can be, and I hold that awareness carefully in the room.
I have an LGBTQ+, neurodivergent-affirmative and inclusive approach. Therapy can look different for everyone, and I strive to meet you where you are, so you can show up completely as yourself. I work in a client-led way, attentive to your unique frame of reference.
My Approach
Humanistic therapy is about working together in a way that respects your individuality. It emphasises self-awareness, personal responsibility and the therapeutic relationship as key to change, rather than working with fixed techniques or diagnoses. Our work together will be guided by your individual needs and experiences, whatever you may be facing. I have training and experience across a wide-range of areas including:
Self-Harm and Suicidality
Eating Disorders and Body Image
Addiction
Anxiety and Depression
Stress and Overwhelm
Life Changes and Transitions
Chronic Illness and/or Health Conditions
Relationship Problems
Grief and Loss
Intimacy and Sex
Existential Questions
Trauma - Childhood and Adulthood
Neurodiversity
Creativity and Artistic Blocks
Anger and Rage
Training and Qualifications
I hold a Diploma in Humanistic Counselling & Psychotherapy from Homa London, and a Certificate in Counselling Skills from Metanoia Institute (UKCP). I remain part of Homa’s continuous postgraduate program, for ongoing professional development.
Professional Registrations
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS). I adhere to each organisation's Ethical Framework in my practice.
Working Together
I believe finding the right therapist is important. If you’d like to explore working together, contact me to arrange a free 15-minute call. This gives you the chance to ask any questions and get an initial sense of if we are a good fit.
Following this, I suggest we have an initial session where you can share in more detail what brings you to therapy and get an idea of how I work.
You can reach me by email - therapy@katejervis.co.uk
I look forward to meeting you.
Fees
My standard fee is £85 for a 50 minute session.
I am committed to ensuring the therapy I provide is accessible, and I offer some concessions for those who need a reduced fee. Please email me for more information.
