Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy

We all have our own way of speaking, or not speaking, about what concerns us. Psychotherapy offers the space to talk, however you want, about your life. It is the opportunity to be listened to carefully by someone who can help you think about your experience; situations that may repeat, feelings that may persist, and why this might be.

Psychoanalysis is a way of exploring both present day problems and what might be going on beneath them. It takes seriously your memories, fears, beliefs, desires, dreams. There may be connections that surprise you. The process might, at times, feel painful. But it can also be deeply creative, enjoyable and enlivening; an invitation to be in the world on different terms.

About Me

Alongside private practice I work across a range of community-based mental health services, with a particular focus on marginalised identities and communities. I practice in a contemporary way, meaning my work pays attention to social, political and cultural contexts as they bear on and inform our lives. I am in advanced clinical training with the Site for Contemporary Psychoanalysis.

Practicalities

Sessions are 50 minutes long and take place, in-person, once or twice a week. The work is open ended.

Fees

My fees start at £40.00 per session. I have some lower feel slots available.

Initial Consultation

This is free and an opportunity to explore what brings you to therapy and how we might work together. We can also discuss practicalities, including frequency of sessions and the fee.

Professional Bodies

I abide by the Site for Contemporary Psychoanalysis’s code of ethics and conduct and my practice is also informed by the UKCP’s Code of Ethics and Professional Practice.
