About me
I’m a couple psychoanalytic psychotherapist, registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council. I completed an intensive five-year specialist couple therapy training at London’s Tavistock Relationships—a renowned leading Centre for psychotherapy and relationship counselling.
Before training as a psychotherapist, I worked for many years in special educational needs with neurodivergent children and young people, and those experiencing emotional and behavioural difficulties related to childhood trauma.
My approach
I offer psychoanalytic psychotherapy - a talking therapy with a strong and expanding evidence base in helping people find relief from distress. You are supported to talk freely and honestly about your thoughts and feelings. Talking this way enables deeper exploration of what may lie in your unconscious mind.
I am specifically trained to work with couples so that you and your partner will experience a way of thinking and working that focuses on understanding the relationship dynamics you create together and considers both of your needs. My practice is grounded in the Tavistock Relationship’s 75‑year tradition of research and innovation in couple therapy.
My aim
My aim is to support couples in increasing their understanding of one another and of themselves, and ultimately to find more fulfilling and happier ways of being together.
The decision to seek couples therapy can be a difficult step to take. I offer a non-judgmental reflective space to explore a specific difficulty you are struggling with, or perhaps you are feeling overwhelmed by a number of problems between you.
I welcome couples of all ages, social and cultural backgrounds and sexual orientations. I offer both in person or online therapy.
Issues I can help with include:
Communication difficulties
Parenting concerns
Affairs
Depression or anxiety in one or both partners
Sexual problems
Distressing, repetitive arguments
Disconnect and distance
Anger and conflict
